She was named Illinois floral designer of the year in 2001, inducted into the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 2001, named Ohio Floral Designer of the year for 2004, is an Illinois Certified Professional Florist (ICPF) and an AIFD Certified Floral Designer (CFD).

She has won many awards for her design work, including the Land of Lincoln Cup 2006 and also in 2007. She has presented many floral design programs at the local and state level.
